Overclocking
It would be reasonable to assume that a stock-clocked RTX 2070 doesn't have the overclocking chops of a premium model. That supposition is wrong in this case, because the Gigabyte card has plenty of headroom for both GPU and memory.
Our logs show the card runs at an average 1,955MHz boost when overclocked, and when coupled with the memory produces some decent numbers.
The 4,360-mark score is about as good as we have got from an RTX 2070 GPU. Makes sense to save a chunk of cash and go for this model rather than pay an extra Ā£100 for a so-called premium.
About 10 per cent extra performance, which is worth it when gaming at 4K.
