Comparative Performance and Bang4Buck

We can take a closer look at overall comparative performance and then evaluate the value proposition by factoring price into the equation.

To do this, we take the benchmark scores from each card at 2,560x1,440 - the optimum resolution - and then normalise all cards to the reviewed card's performance, which is set to 100 per cent. The final result is an average normalised performance across the four games in this test.

The Founders Edition card ends up being a tad slower than the same-clocked Inno3D because its boost speed is a little inhibited at 2,560x1,440. 1.3 per cent isn't much in the grand scheme of things, granted, but you'd never say no to extra performance.

We can also factor price into account. The lower price of the FE card, at £419, means it looks better than the Inno3D, even though the latter is a hair faster.

Most retailers have since put up the price of the Radeon RX Vega 56 and 64 cards, yet if you look closely enough, you can get still get them for £390 and £455, respectively, resulting in a class-leading bang4buck.
