Crank up the load and greater core counts tell on a architecture-to-architecture basis, though the Intel lead here is predominantly down to having hardware-accelerated encryption/decryption.

Really press the chips with all-core load and the 975BE puts up a good fight. However, AMD's own six-core chips prove to be better performers, making up the frequency shortfall by using more processing cores.
