8C8T (Core i7-9700K) running at 4.6GHz is better than 6C12T (Core i7-8700K) in all CPU scenarios here. The difference is only vast in the HandBrake test, mind.

Looking across to AMD, its Ryzen 7 2700X is at least as good in the multi-threaded benchmarks but, as usual, lacks in single-thread speed.
