Having direct-attached system memory via DLM can't hide the fact that core counts get in the way of gaming performance. Sure, the 2970WX's results are better, by some margin, than the non-DLM-tested 2990WX, but they ought to be as good as the 2920X.
That processor performs as expected in the Futuremark tests.
