Gigabyte G-Power Pro - Introduction and Packaging

Introduction

The second Gigabyte cooler in our group review is the G Power Pro. It has four heat-pipes but is shorter than the 3D Rocket II and comes in two forms. There's one with a Pro tag that we have on review and another without that lacks the Pro's thermal-control box and improved fan.

The lower profile is partly the result of Gigabyte not including a second fan at the bottom of the cooler.

Packaging

Being shorter than 3D Rocket II, the G Power Pro can be fitted in smaller retail box. But, size apart, the packing is very similar.

The same fan-controller as the 3D Rocket II is found in the base of the cooler box - under the accessories. One comment we'd make about the packaging on both Gigabyte coolers is that it's not easy to re-use. However, unless you tend to change your cooler like you do your socks, this won't affect most of you.
