Power Supply Cleverness

Just lately a few chassis have come into the labs which have neglected attention to detail with respect to the PSU area. Our review of the Fata1ty FC-ZE1 picked up on this point, and straight out of the box we thought the Aguila was going down the same route.

Rummaging through the accessories box revealed that the Aguila has something a bit different in the PSU department.

Can you guess what it is yet? A simple steel rod with a hole either end? Check. Is there an entry in the manual to tell you where it goes? Check.

As you can see above, the PSU-less Aguila uses a supporting brace to help carry the weight of the PSU as well as improving the rigidity of the chassis.

We found this simple solution worked well, even if a fair amount of elbow grease is required to get it in place.
