Inside The Front

Up front the Aguila features a removable HDD caddy, capable of holding up to four devices, secured in place with rubber grommets. Under BTX conditions this is removed from the system to accommodate the cooling solution, but in terms of capacity, let’s discuss the possibilities using the ATX format.

Thermaltake Aguila

The Aguila is capable of taking six 3.5” devices, four in the caddy, one in the 3.5” bay directly above it and the last one in the modular power-bay alongside the usual power and reset buttons.

In addition to this are five 5.25” bays that use simple snap-in sliders to hold the devices in place. Four of the bays are up the top of the chassis, with the fifth located in the bottom bay.

Remember the traditional orange-and-black fan we spoke about earlier? Well, this pushes air directly through the HDD’s mounted in the caddy, powered off a single molex connector.

The inside of the Aguila has been well-thought out, with plenty of room inside for even the biggest components. The design of the chassis allows you to build a tidy system with the capability to route the wiring behind the HDD caddy and 5.25” bays.
