Out back

Look around the back of the 570 and you get a true feeling for its size. There's enough space for two 120mm fans - and two LED-lit units are pre-fitted. Otherwise, though, the layout of the rear is pretty conventional, with the power supply unit going up top and held in place on a fixed mounting plate.

What that means, though, is that if you try to use a large power supply, it can't be fed into the PSU bay from the back. Instead, it has to be wrestled into position from the inside since the top of the case is riveted in place, as now seems to be the norm, regrettably.

Even the rear is aluminium but shiny and nickel-plated. That finish is a bit too prone to finger-marks for our liking but the quality of the finish is good.

The pre-fitted fans aren't secured with screws, Gigabyte instead opting to use plastic push clips. We're not sure whether these reduce or increase vibration levels but they do make it harder to swap out the fans for low-noise alternatives.

What is good, though, is that the case comes ready for you to fit an externally-mounted radiator for some extreme water-based cooling without too much difficulty.

Two tubing holes, protected with rubber grommets, are pre-cut at the bottom. That feature is becoming more and more common on cases in the 570's price range and it's good to see Gigabyte doing the hard work that the less Handy-Andy among would prefer to avoid.
