Gizmo is Crucial's USB flash drive product, and they have just announced the Gizmo Overdrive. This is, as you might expect, a faster version of the Gizmo

The Gizmo Overdrive supports writing at up to 13MB/s and reading at 25MB/s. As flash drives have increased in density, sluggish transfer rates have lead to excessive finger-tapping, which the Overdrive seeks to stamp out.

Also included in the new release is a version of the Overdrive with security software, which is basically drive password & encryption software for the drive; something we've seen on other drives too.

The devices are available in 512MiB, 1GiB or 2GiB sizes and are supported by the usual spread of recent Operating Systems.

Security software supports only Microsoft Windows 2000 and above.

:(

Still, at least they work with Linux - I have a normal one lying around somewhere. I did try a Kingston once, but it just wouldn't work, and I couldn't be bothered to figure out why (it wasn't my stick), so I just bought a Crucial drive instead.
