The humble grapevine is mostly known as a provider of juicy fruits, but with varying levels of success, sometimes as a simple rumour-monger.

Whilst the fruits a grapevine produces don't extend as far as apples, the rumour-vine has got some Apple iOS 4.3 news today. The Internet is awash with suggestions that the recently launched iOS 4.3 may be ripe for the picking this evening, for supported devices, around 6pm GMT.

As a recap, there has been fervent anticipation for iOS 4.3, which amongst other enhancements, is set to roll-out support for Personal Hotspots, refined AirPlay functionality, a faster Safari browsing experience and iTunes Home Sharing.

So, if your Apple could do with some iOS 4.3 polish, today may just be your lucky day. If you're an iPad user, you can of course take comfort in the fact that you have something more sparkly until the iPad 2 arrives!

Well as at 9.10pm, iTunes (10.2) is reporting no iOS update available to me, “This version of the iPhone software (4.2.1) is the current version”
Ok, now it's live.
For anyone wanting to use a new feature to stream audio from your computer to your iOS device (within WiFi) see here:

I can confirm that this works, and now (whilst at home) I have my entire library available to play on my handheld, for glorious week-and-tinny audio reproduction.
