Microsoft will attempt to address 34 vulnerabilities in its largest ever security update launched tomorrow, October 13th.
The patches, to be made available via Microsoft Update, include 13 bulletins - eight of which are rated as critical.
Microsoft states that affected software includes Windows, Office, Internet Explorer, Silverlight, Forefront, Developer Tools and SQL Server.
Of the 13 updates, five will be applicable to Microsoft's upcoming Windows 7 operating system, scheduled to be released on October 22nd. Microsoft's previous largest security update took place in June 2009, when 10 bulletins addressed 31 vulnerabilities.
