Just the other week, Microsoft kicked sand in the faces of those who helped shape its Windows 7 operating system by stating that members of its Windows Technical Beta Program wouldn't be receiving a complimentary copy of the final release.
Members of the program - and indeed bloggers the world over - were left in uproar, and let's face it, Microsoft's decision was not the way to treat loyal users.
Fortunately, it seems that the decision not to reward Technical Beta users was a little premature. Going full circle, Microsoft has now announced that "members of the invitation-only Windows 7 Technical Beta Program will be eligible for a free, final copy of Windows 7 Ultimate". If that's applicable to you, head over to the .Beta_Program newsgroup for details on how to get your copy.
Nice to see Microsoft treating its beta testers right, and it's certainly one way to prevent them opting for the Lenovo route...
