Windows 7 cracked and activated with leaked OEM license key

In the ever-present hacking world, it has become something of a tradition to circumvent the anti-piracy measures in each release of a Microsoft Windows operating system.

It should come as no surprise, then, to find that hackers have already found a way to crack and activate the upcoming Windows 7.

Despite Microsoft firing a warning to pirates earlier this year, the anti-piracy tools built into Windows 7 appear to have been beaten by a leaked OEM master key obtained from a Windows 7 Ultimate OEM DVD belonging to system manufacturer Lenovo.

The leaked disc image first surfaced on a Chinese forum, and has since made its way across the globe where users are quickly using the master key to activate machines of any brand.

Proving that the hack does actually work, users are quickly posting up screenshots of their success. One such user, SongRemainsTheSame from the mydigitallife.info forums, has posted this validation:

Well the longer Win7 has been available, the longer hackers have to find workarounds, and the longer MS have to combat these before general release to the public.

With the pre order prices we have enjoyed there has really been no reason to pirate this, Not that there ever is a valid reason for piracy though.
