AOpen takes Core Duo to i975X and Crossfire
AOpen are showing off what's possibly the most interesting mainboard at CeBit, outside of new Socket AM2 designs for AMD processors. Putting the µPGA479 socket on a desktop i975X board with dual PEG16X slots means you can pair Intel's latest (and very impressive) Core Duo processors with core logic that supports multi-GPU rendering.
With an ICH7 southbridge, the board is feature rich, and AOpen claim good overclocking performance among other tasty bits of info.
The board speaks for itself, so here's a couple of pics. Anyone else pondering a T2600, this board and some high-end graphics cards? Likewise.
