Corsair has announced two new additions to its range of high-performance Hydro Series liquid CPU coolers. The Hydro Series H110 and H90 have large cooling radiator areas of 312mm x 140mm and 170mm x 140mm respectively. The cooling units contain specially designed 140mm low-speed, high static pressure fans which are capable of quieter, yet more efficient, cooling performance compared to standard 120mm designs.
Thi La, Senior VP and GM of Memory and Enthusiast Component Products at Corsair, explained the impetus behind these new 140mm fan driven liquid cooling implementations: “Many PC enthusiasts choose liquid cooling for its extreme cooling efficiency and quiet operation. To take liquid cooling the next level, we super-sized the Hydro Series H110 and H90, providing users our best cooling-to-noise ratio ever.”
Both of these new additions to the Hydro Series liquid cooler range have improved upon previous generations by featuring “enhanced copper cold plates” for outstanding heat transfer. As standard they feature next-generation low-evaporation easy-bend tubing, efficient air manifold designs and a simple multi-platform mounting bracket. How multi-platform? Corsair informs us that the new H110 and H90 “are compatible with most modern CPU platforms including AMD AM2, AM3, AM3+, FM2 and FM1 and Intel LGA 1155, LGA 1156, LGA 1366, and LGA 2011.”
Corsair Hydro Series H110
As you can see from the pictures above and below, the H110 is equipped with a double-length radiator containing two 140mm low-speed, high static pressure fans. The H110 fits cases with dual 140mm top fan mounts and 20mm screw spacing.

Corsair Hydro Series H90
The Hydro Series H90 shares many of the qualities of its bigger brother but as you can see from the picture below it is equipped with a more compact 170mm x 140mm radiator and a single 140mm static pressure fan. The H90 is compatible with a wide range of cases possessing a rear or top 140mm fan mount.
