PRESS RELEASE

Storage innovator to contribute to the world's biggest IT tradeshow by showcasing latest update of Open-E DSS V7

Hanover, Germany, March 4, 2014: - Open-E, a leading developer of innovative data storage software used for building and managing centralized storage servers, will debut performance advances in its Open-E Data Storage Software (DSS) at the world's No. 1 trade fair for the digital industries - CeBIT 2014 in Hannover, Germany. Open-E will be located in Hall 2, Stand B49 in the USA Enterprise Storage Solutions Pavilion.

The keynote theme of CeBIT 2014 is "Datability", the ability to process and use vast quantities of data, quickly, responsibly and sustainably. "Open-E DSS V7 Linux-based data storage software fits directly into the CeBIT theme," said Krzysztof Franek, CEO and president of Open-E. "We allow our tens of thousands of customers around the world to sustainably use commodity servers to build and manage centralized data storage applications in high availability, big data, cloud storage, virtualization and business continuity environments at a fraction of the cost of alternative storage solutions. The current major software update of Open-E DSS V7 we are showing at CeBIT can significantly increase the performance of replicated environments, ensuring the safety of our customers' business in case of any disaster, and brings superior performance, extensibility and reliability."

With the new release of Open-E's Data Storage Software, customers can achieve superior performance of up to 10X in random writes of mirrored volumes allowing data to be copied in real-time, and every change immediately mirrored from the primary server to the secondary storage server. In addition, Open-E DSS V7 will improve overall storage system performance in environments with multi-core processors and can be further optimized with integrated and improved hardware performance tuning parameters. All existing customers of Open-E can now download the software update at no additional cost.

The new features of Open-E DSS V7 will be showcased with live demos at CeBIT from March 10th to the 14th with Open-E staff available to answer questions and to provide detailed information on how to provide 'Datability' with Open-E software. More details on the show and the Open-E booth in Hall 2, Stand B49 is available in the CeBIT Exhibitor Profile.
