London, UK, 14 February 2008 – Buffalo Technology has launched the first 500GB portable external hard drive (HD-PS500U2) into the market. Available from March, the 500GB MiniStation TurboUSB is a 2.5 inch hard drive aimed at users wanting a portable device to store large amounts of data, including music, images and/or approximately 500 films.
The increased capacity and portability of the drive will allow consumers to store half a terabyte of data in their pocket, making it a perfect backup device for laptop users. The entire MiniStation TurboUSB range is compatible with all Windows systems (2000, XP and Vista) and all Mac OS X, including Leopard.
