Microsoft presented their Swedish version of Media Center Edition at a press conference on the 13th of October, generating extensive coverage in Swedish daily newspapers and on national TV. But both the newspapers and TV came to the conclusion after the press conference that Microsoft MCE can not be used in the living room as it does not have support for Swedish pay TV channels.
Furthermore they also concluded that Microsoft MCE can not be used in the living room as all people can not use the system, which is a prerequisite when placing a media center solution in the living room.
Wellton Way opens the door to the digital home
The Swedish software company Wellton Way is making the digital home a reality by providing everyone the opportunity to download and try the software Wellton Way MMC - the only user-interface for the living room that anyone can use.
