WRITE, PAINT, EDIT AND DRAW INTO A PC WITH E-PENS MOBILE NOTES AND E-PENS CREATE
A new range of digital pens from e-pens that enable the capture and conversion of handwritten text and drawings into editable text on a PC will be available from April 2009. Available from Gem and Enta Technologies the new digital pens, e-pens Mobile Notes and e-pens Create, provide the powerful benefits of note-taking with a normal pen and paper combined with the ability to digitally reproduce and edit text files on a business or home PC.
e-pens will have multiple practical applications for business users, students, designers or artists wishing to use a normal pen and paper for practical note-taking or drawing but needing to be able to save, share and back up files for editing and retrieval. Combined with a small e-pens base unit that clips to the top of the notepad, it is simple to set up and use. Users will be able to write and draw on normal paper, secure in the knowledge that notes and etchings are being electronically recorded for transfer to their PC. Used paper can then also be recycled to save office space once notes have been uploaded.
e-pens Mobile Notes
e-pens Mobile Notes is an all-in-one digital package for capturing and converting handwritten notes to typed text. Users simply connect the base unit to a standard notepad to record handwriting using the digital ink pen. Pen Mode enables notes to be captured remotely in any location and later uploaded to a PC, making it an ideal solution for students, business executives and those in field sales. For rapid digital writing, Mouse Mode turns the pen into a mouse for writing directly onto digital Tablet PC applications such as MS OneNoteTM, MSN Messenger and MS OutlookTM, plus MS OfficeTM programs such as PowerPoint, MS Word® and MS Excel®.
Priced at SRP £89.99, the package contains an e-pens base unit, a digital pen, MyScript Notes and NoteManager software, a carry case, USB cable, one ink refill, a stylus, two pen batteries and a quick start guide. e-pens Mobile Notes runs on rechargeable batteries or via the USB port of a PC, saving users the inconvenience and cost of replacing batteries.

Competitively priced at £59.99, e-pens Create enables writing, drawing and photo editing. Easy to use at both the office and at home, e-pens Create allows sketches, illustrations and photographs to be stored and corrected that will provide artists, designers or photographers with a valuable tool. The e-pens Create package contains an e-pens base unit, a digital pen, NoteManager and Serif Draw Plus software, USB cable, one ink refill, a stylus, two pen batteries and a quick start guide.
