OLDI will provide ATI with an established and trusted partner in the region who has experience in dealing with leading technology brands and has both retail and channel distribution models. They will be assisted in marketing and selling the ATI products by Connect 3D whose experience as one of ATI's leading certified partners in Europe will prove invaluable.
Russia is becoming one of the fastest growing markets in Europe and is therefore strategically important for ATI. Consumer and corporate users are rapidly leap-frogging technology generations and demanding the latest and most powerful hardware. The region therefore presents significant opportunities for ATI with its complete line up of graphics solutions. ATI will be supporting the relationship with a dedicated sales operation and will continue to invest in resources in the area.
Peter Edinger, Vice President, Europe, ATI Technologies, commented, "The combination of OLDI's market knowledge, Connect 3D's experience and our technology will make us a powerful force in this market. Russia is now one of the hottest markets for graphics in Europe if not world-wide. Through this relationship we aim to take significant market share and replicate our success from other European markets, in this emerging market."
Alexander Priloutsky, General Manager at OLDI, added, "ATI is regarded as the leading graphics brand in the world today and we are very excited to be working with them. Russia is a large and diverse country which is very different from markets that many western companies are used to. Our infrastructure, contacts and market knowledge will ensure that ATI products get the best visibility and sales channels possible."
Mark Holmes, European Sales Manager at Connect 3D said , "OLDI gives ATI that vital infrastructure in a new market. We will bring our experience in marketing and selling, and will be supporting ATI and assisting OLDI to establish the ATI brand as the dominant player in Russia as it is across the rest of Europe."
