Packard Bell selects ATI's RADEON 9800(tm) PRO to power its digital entertainment solutions at the DVD Showroom

MUNICH, GERMANY - May 20, 2003 - ATI Technologies Inc. (TSX:ATY,
NASDAQ:ATYT) today announced its exclusive cooperation with Packard Bell, the official partner to the DVD Showroom at the 56th Cannes Film Festival in France. ATI will be providing its award winning 3D graphics board, the ATI
RADEON(tm) 9800 PRO, to Packard Bell Digital Entertainment whose solutions allow festival goers to experience best of breed DVD viewing quality.

Festival goers can view all "DVD Collection'-films in the DVD showroom at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes (Level 01 - Aisle 12). The Digital Entertainment solutions from Packard Bell with more than 20 high-end PCs and LCD flat screens will provide a new dimension of cinematic experience.

The exclusive "Cannes Film Festival DVD Collection" label was created in 2002 by the Cannes Film Festival meeting the new media and movie goers' demands. All films receiving the "DVD Collection" label will compete for the "2003 Cannes Film Festival DVD Prize" being awarded to the best film in two categories.
