Xbox makes a noise.
The move towards a lounge based multi-media system continued at ECTS with SPHEREX demonstrating their 5.1 Surround Sound System for the Xbox.OMNIPOLAR(tm) speakers give a much wider sound experience, giving you the feeling of being right inside the game. The sound separation is excellent and with the upward facing cones, height and distance are convincingly reproduced.
The subwoofer features an 8" cellulose cone and more connections than you could shake a whole electrical department at. Its the first home theatre system I've seen to have TWO optical inputs as well as coaxial, analogue and USB inputs. There's even an expansion card slot to help future proof the system.
Supporting all the proprietary surround sound formats, and with a total of 300 watts RMS, this thing is loud enough to have the neighbours banging on the walls even if you live in a remote Scottish farmhouse.
