Dig deep and help our heroes
Mike Holgate, a Captain in the Royal Engineers who was wounded in Afghanistan, is undertaking the gruelling 19th Bataan Memorial Death March to raise money for the charity Help for Heroes, who helped him recover from his injuries.Mike was serving in Afghanistan and was injured at the end of last year when an RPG air burst about 6 feet from him. He took shrapnel in both arms and legs, and was in a pretty bad way for some time. He's back on his feet now, but is still left with some paralysis in his limbs. It's a miracle he's walking at all - and he puts a lot of it down to the help he received from the 'Help for Heroes' charity.
Mike is taking on the seriously challenging Bataan Memorial Death March, which is challenging enough for the fittest of people, but Mike is still having a go.
