Signals new Xbox live era

Could a recruitment post on Microsoft’s US careers site suggest that the company are working on a new Xbox live platform? Or could it indeed signal the birth of the third Xbox console?

The wording of the advert, which states that Microsoft is seeking an “Xbox Live team that's responsible for creating a completely new way for mainstream audiences to enjoy the Xbox and Live” could also suggest that they are merely looking to improve the Xbox live experience.

"Want to be involved in the next release of Xbox? Join the server-backed games team, part of the Xbox Live team that's responsible for creating a completely new way for mainstream audiences to enjoy the Xbox and Live," the ad reads.

"We're building the games, the console interface and logic, and the server support for a totally new Live experience. Both the games and the dashboard experience will be deeply paired with dynamic server support to create a compelling, fresh scenario each time.”

"We are looking for a passionate games producer to help implement our first generation games that will run in this new environment."

What could this new live experience be? Let us know your thoughts in the HEXUS.gaming forums.

They reported on x-league tv channel 208, that MS will be launching a new console for 2010!!
that'd fit with the 6-year lifecycle of most consoles, but my gut says they should drag it into 2011

I like that channel. I'm in the new FIFA tournament.
