Adds PVR functions to the latest laptops

London, England - 10 October 2007 - Hauppauge Digital, the world leader in PC TV technology, has introduced an ExpressCard TV tuner, giving owners of the latest laptops a quick and easy way to add free live TV to their PCs. The new Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1400 provides analogue and digital (Freeview) TV reception via the new ExpressCard format, designed for simple, neat expansion of laptops.

Priced at £79.99 (inc VAT), the HVR-1400 is available immediately and supports Windows XP, Windows XP Media Center Edition and Windows Vista. The card also comes with Hauppauge's latest WinTV 6 viewing software and SoftPVR to schedule and record programmes for later viewing - an hour of video occupies just over 1Gb of disk storage. Recorded video can also be burned to DVD for long-term storage.

Owners of the latest laptops with a 54mm ExpressCard slot simply insert the HVR-1400, install the drivers and connect an aerial to enjoy live TV, pause and record TV. With up to 45 Freeview channels available, the HVR-1400 is the perfect upgrade for any laptop user, and the analogue capabilities allow a VCR or set-top box to connect to the laptop.
