The Lehmann Black Cube Heads Up To USB

Leading UK distributor, Henley Designs, is pleased to announce that Lehmann has extended its Black Cube series of electronic products with the launch of the USB Headphone Pre Amplifier; a product which turns a computer into a High End audio music source. The USB input works with virtually all computers accepting connections from USB 1.0 onwards and working with sample rates up to 48kHz.

There is an additional analogue input with gold-plated RCA and 3,5mm jack connectors with loop through and input selection is automatic with the USB connection being given priority.

This Black Cube amplifier has the maximum gain selectable up to 20dB and this effectively optimises the output level of the zero global feedback Class A output stage. Practically every high quality dynamic headphone available today will show the best possible performance, no matter if they are an easy to drive low impedance pair of headphones or an inefficient pair of 600 Ohms studio cans.

Carefully selected top-notch components and a highly sophisticated circuit design guarantee outstanding listening pleasure; displaying that ultra transparent sound and the explosive dynamics formerly the province of electrostatic headphones. A highly sophisticated, clean power supply (the USB connection is used only for the data transfer) features low-ESR electrolytic capacitors whilst the double-sided audio board incorporates Burr Brown audio grade components.

The Lehmann USB Headphone Pre Amplifier is housed in a high-quality non-magnetic aluminium case anodised black or silver and will retail in the UK for about £750.
