There's only 6 months to go until Sony's PS3 is launched World-wide but there still appears to be a problem with the PS3 development kits.

At E3 last week Sega of America President Simon Jeffrey said, "A lot of developers have not gotten the kits". This means that a number of the games currently in development will not utilise the power of the PS3, and could result in many publishers delaying their games to ensure they have time to iron out any problems. THQ have already said that they don't plan to make a version of the Sopranos for PS3 due to not having all the information on Sony's machine.

A number of other publishers, such as Activision and EA seem quite content with their development kits, Activision's CEO said that, "While we may not have the final, final hardware, we know what the processor's capacity is.''

Developers are no strangers to dev kit shortages, Microsoft had the same issue so it's no surprise that some developers are adapting to the situation. So, will we really see the 15+ launch games in November? If so will they be truly 'next-gen'? And will some of the 'smaller' developers delay their titles?
