Dashboard upgrade
The Xbox 360 free dashboard update became available last night.
According to Xbox.com the update includes the following:
Improvements to the Xbox Guide.
Option to retain your saved games when you delete a profile.
Increased accuracy of "last time played."
Network configuration improvements for Xbox Live members in the Netherlands.
More detailed messaging for unreadable disk or region errors.
We thought there might be an update to allow more people to join the private chat channels, this hasn't materialised but could still be in the pipeline.
Gamasutra have suggested that the main reason for the update was to "halt the progress of the modding community. Their 'demo disk' doesn’t work any more."
