The hit gaming app Angry Birds will make its debut on Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 platform and there is also a 3D version in the pipeline, according to reports.
Rovio Mobile told Pocket-lint that it is working on a WP7 version and Peter Vesterbacka said ‘Microsoft has a lot of lawyers' when asked if the software power house is delaying the rollout of the app.
Microsoft has reportedly now signed an agreement with Rovio and its partnership with Nokia might see the firm keen to get the app to its fledgling platform pronto.
Apparently the relationship between Microsoft and Rovio has not been great since Microsoft used the Angry Birds logo without its developer's permission at the launch of WP7, but now it seems that Rovio is keen to stress there is no bad blood between itself and Microsoft.
Perhaps more excitingly, Vesterbacka told Pocket-Lint that the game will also make its 3D debut but did not say upon which device, or when.
"We've built a lot of 3D games before, it's not like it's a lot of learning in order to recreate the technology with Angry Birds," he reportedly said.
Rovio apparently acquired Pixelgene, a 3D gaming company back in 2006. With LG's Optimus 3D smartphone unveiled at MWC and the Nintendo 3Ds set to launch soon, could either of these platforms get Angry Birds 3D?
