Europe's specialist video games chain, GAME, will be opening over 150 stores at midnight to sell the very first copies of the highly anticipated game, Halo 3.

Such is the anticipation for Halo 3, Microsoft and GAME are expecting customers around the UK to queue and collect their pre-ordered copies of the game on the stroke of midnigh. In addition, all GAME stores will be opening early the following morning to meet demand.

Robert Quinn, GAME's Operations Director said, "Halo 3 will be a huge event in towns throughout the UK, so we're pulling out all the stops to help our customers start playing it as soon as humanly possible. Over 800 GAME staff will be on duty at midnight to serve customers and keep the shelves full."

"Halo 3 is hotly anticipated by thousands of customers who have reserved it months in advance, and we are working flat out to make sure our customers are first to get the products they want."
