Nissan and Microsoft plan some cool stuff
Xbox 360 owners who’re enjoying Forza Motorsport 2 can now get even more from the racer with the extra downloadable content now available on Xbox LIVE. Featuring an all new free Nissan car pack of three premiere Nissan models; the 2007 Sentra SE-R, Altima, and 350Z, there’s more than just that...And to celebrate this release, Xbox and Nissan will be hosting a few events, obviously centered on Nissans street-beasts. The first of these activities will be a Nissan Sentra SE-R tournament on Xbox LIVE as ricers, sorry, racers are encouraged to customize and upgrade their Sentras and then race head-to-head in an all-out Nissan Sentra brawl.
The 32 bracket 256 player tournament will kick off on 18th August and take place over the course of seven weeks. It will finish on the 6th October with a championship race live at the L.A. Auto Show. (So here’s hoping you’re either rich, live in LA or MS will ship you over there) Finalists will compete for a series of prizes including a chance to win a new Nissan! In addition to the Sentra face-off, Nissan and Xbox will also be hosting an in-game customisation contest, for you to create your own stunning paint jobs on your Sentra SE-Rs. The contest will be judged by a panel comprised of Turn 10 developers and Nissan representatives. So remember, style and subtlety are more important than fat exhausts and acres of chrome. But it’s not all Nissan, Nissan, Nissan... On top of all their stuff there also the Peugeot 908 race car ready to download. If you’re not familiar with this one, don’t look for it outside Tescos being filled with shopping, this is no road car but an absolute pure-bred race beast, which recently pulled off a second place finish at the Le Mans 24 Hour. And you know what else makes the 908 special? It’s the only paintable racecar to be in the game. So it’s worth grabbing just to race with a custom paint-job.
