More 360's on the way
Beginning this week, Microsoft will be distributing between two and three times the number of Xbox 360's that have already shipped.Microsoft say that, along with improved component supply, their third party manufacturer, Celestica has helped to ease the shortage.
Ever since release date the Xbox 360 has been in short supply, it seems something has given Microsoft a kick up the backside to improve the distribution. The company still maintains that they will meet their target of of between 4.5 million and 5.5 million of the consoles by June 30, when its fiscal year ends.
Microsoft shares fell 15 cents on Tuesday to close at $27.74 on the Nasdaq Stock Market.
The PS3 will also encounter the same problems on launch with figures of only 1 million units being available, meaning that Microsoft could capitalise on Christmas sales.
