According to a report on msxbox-world.com, Microsoft's Xbox 360 is set to receive a stereoscopic 3D update that will help put the Xbox on an even keel with Sony's rival Playstation 3.
The update, said to be made available in a matter of days, will initially offer stereoscopic 3D in a range of titles including Batman: Arkham City, Gears of War 3 and Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary.
The site's also carrying a snapshot of the Xbox 360 dashboard that reads: “Enable 3D to use stereoscopic 3D in games and experiences that support it.”
We're not quite sure which experiences Microsoft has in mind, but this could suggest that the Xbox 360 will deliver 3D multimedia from a library of content providers that includes Sky, ESPN and Netflicks.
