In conjunction with the new Xbox 360 dashboard update, Microsoft has brought into effect a new pricing system for Xbox Live subscribers that kicks in today.

In the U.K. we get off quite lightly, with the subscription price hike only affecting those who buy monthly subscriptions. This will now cost £5.99 rather than £4.99. In the U.S. the price has changed across all three subscription models. One month subs are now $9.99 rather than $7.99, three month subs are now $24.99 instead of $19.99 and yearly subs are $59.99 rather than $49.99.

Xbox Live’s Major Nelson spoke of the price increases: "We're confident that when the new pricing takes effect, an Xbox Live Gold membership will continue to offer the best value in the industry."

I'd agree that this was a good deal - I'm a bit annoyed that I managed to miss out on it. :'(
I use xboxlivecodes.co.uk I think it is, if not something similar, I managed to get 24 months of live for £38, every so often they throw out good deals on live code cards etc. Codes normally emailed through within a matter of minutes.
