Xbox Live Gold members this week will be treated to a 50% discount on the superb Xbox Live Arcade title, The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition - the remake of The Secret of Monkey Island.

Gold members will only need to pay 400 of their valued Microsoft Points rather than the usual 800, while special Xbox Live Avatar items, the official Monkey Island Cotton Swab and LeChuck Pirate Hat, also boast a 50% reduction for this week only.

Also, Black Bean Games has officially announced that you’ll soon be able to sample the studio’s upcoming SBK-X Superbike World Championship racing game when the demo releases on May 19th.

The demo will initially only be available to Xbox LIVE Gold members, but access will then be opened up to Silver members, as well as PS3 and PC players, next week on May 26th.

The full version of SBK-X will be available on June 4th this year (in both a Regular and Special Edition), in the UK, Europe, South Africa, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates and Australia, on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
