Ubisoft has revealed that it will be behind the helm of the next iteration in the gunslinging Call of Juarez series, which is due for release on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2009.

Ubisoft is again teaming with Techland to develop Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, a prequel to the original action shooter.

No gameplay information was revealed, though we do know that players will be transported from a ravaged Civil War-era Georgia to the Aztec ruins of Mexico. Claiming it will be the "wildest West ever depicted", Ubisoft say that players can embody both McCall brothers in an intense storyline full of greed, lust and lawlessness.

Expect duels, shootouts, barroom brawls and plenty of hookers! Sounds like a night out in Birmingham.

Never played the first one.. is it any good? A wild west shooter does sound fun :p
I picked up the first one from HMV for a fiver. It wasn't the most inspiring game but it was fun and there was good potential to turn it into something better.
