Earlier today, we revealed that Bungie had set up a page on its website with a timer ticking down to 3.06pm. That time has come and gone, so we thought we'd better let you know the big news!

Its' a...a...a...a...trailer! What for? God knows! It's entitled: Keep It Clean! The Halo 3 title briefly appears on screen along with some footage of an asteroid or some foreign object hitting a city, but we're still pretty much clueless.

We guess that it could be new maps for Halo 3, or maybe a Halo prequel? Looks like we're going to have wait and see. Any ideas?

We suppose this is the trailer that Bungie wanted to tease us with at E3, but had the plugged pulled, much to their annoyance. Now that it's arrived we're still none the wiser, although hardcore Halo fans may spot some of the cryptic messages in the footage. Maddie, where are you?

UPDATE : It's Halo 3, it's a new campaign mode, a new story. Master Chief will be referenced, but not playable. That's all I can say for now, hope you enjoy it!! reads a post on N4G. Ah great, nothing to see here folks, move along...
