Following Datel's decision to dump its Freeloader disc, which allowed for region-free gaming on Wii, a new workaround is currently in development and will be released shortly.

DCEmu community member,Crediar has posted the following video, which shows the Wii System menu hack that will allow region-free Wii gaming, region-free Gamecube games and region-free channels.

Nintendo won't be happy, it's only recently released a new firmware update to render all Freeloader disc incompatible with Wii.

The new workaround should be available shortly.

That's good news…my inlaws just bought the kids a wii from Singapore. Setup didn't let me select anything outside of Asia, so I was worried that we wouldn't be able to use it in the UK.
This video is a really stupid way around the free loader. There are way better versions. On my Wii, I have a channel that I click, I think go into a config and tell it to “Force Pal 60” then click run game. It then asks to put in a disk any press any button so you do it and voila! I can now play my American No More Heroes again!
