Talk trash to fellow gamers

If details on the official Sony site are correct (it would be ridiculous if they weren't), the electronic's manufacturer is set announce that Skype, the service that allows users to make telephone calls from their computer to other Skype users free of charge, will soon be available to Playstation Portable users.

Although there has yet to be an official statement from Sony on the new service, the CES section of Sony.com lists Skype as being one of the features of the PSP. "Call friends, talk trash to fellow gamers or catch up with acquaintances via Skype for PSP system." reads the website.

The Wi-Fi functionality of the PSP means that users will be able to make phone calls for free whenever they are near Wi-Fi hot- spots.

Full details of the service should be revealed at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas next week.
