Slimmer, lighter and selling well
There's nothing quite like computer game companies churning out numbers that make them look good, or indeed, better than the competition. Today we turn to Sony as it boasts the sale of 1 million PSP 2000 units in Japan.
The PSP 2000, launched on September 20th, is Sony's redesigned successor to its successful PlayStation Portable. The new model, featuring a slimmer and lighter design, has reached the 1 million milestone two weeks quicker than the original PSP which launched in 2004. Quite the achievement!
It's a critical time of year for the gaming industry and Sony will be feeling a whole lot better about the recent sales of its somewhat struggling PlayStation 3 and its now invigorated PlayStation Portable platform.
