Sony have left to to last minute, but today they have announced that the Playstation 3 firmware has been upgraded to enable users to use their Playstation Network Online service. Version 1.10 arrives just two days before the Japanese launch and 8 days before the big day in the US.

Japanese site, Game Watch, have also confirmed that the PSP will soon be upgraded to version 3.0 which will allow users to connect with the PS3.
