The black and shiny PS3 may sport a rather sleek design, but this picture reveals that the console gathers more dust than our gaming editor's wallet.

The colour of the console obviously doesn't help as it will show up any scratch or dust particle that settles on the unit, but there's no excuse for not giving it a wipe over with a duster. Of course dust is a common problem and we're not claiming that Sony's machine will attract more dust than other consoles, that would be ludicrous, but we'd like to hope that consumers may be able to choose either the white of silver PS3 sooner rather than later (at least they will give the impression of cleanliness even if there is a layer of dust).
