The Playstation 3 has landed a bumper title in securing Bethseda's Oblivion for launch day, but fans who've been playing the rpg on PC or Xbox 360 may be a tad jealous that the PS3 version will have an exclusive mission that will add an extra 10-20 hours of gameplay onto the already mammoth free-roaming adventure.
The Knights of the Nine mission will see you searching for Crusader relics, which when found unleash a +50 bonus when attacking foe.The pilgrimage will see you wandering around the wilderness in search of shrines (these won't appear on your map), and once found you'll be set a quest in order to prove that you deserve to be given these rare items. TheKnights of the Nine faction will allow interaction with new characters, enemies and places
To complete the new mission you won't be allowed to commit any crimes in Cyrodil, if you do you'll have to start the mission all over again.
The PS3 version will apparently sport graphical improvements (really?) and with the dozens of accolades already under its belt, Oblivion is set to be the finest launch title for any console...ever (you guessed it, we're huge fans).
Rumour: A few murmours in the industry are suggesting that Oblivion won't actually make the November launch date, but UK consumers can rest easy in the knowledge that it should be a launch title for the March release.
