60GB Hard drive

Sony have confirmed that the PS3 will ship with a 60GB hard drive - three times the size of the Xbox 360's HDD. All PS3 bundles will be sold with the HDD, though whether or not a larger drive will be available isn't clear.

Analysts are speculating that there may be two bundles for sale on launch, offering a 60GB and a 100GB HDD.

At what price though? With current components, such as the Blu-ray optical drive ($350), IBM Cell processor ($230) , Nvidia RSX graphics processor ($70), and XDR RAM ($50), bumping the cost of the console to approximately $800 to produce, it's hard to see how Sony are going to be able to offer the console and the HDD at a reasonable price.

Due to the 'fine tuning' of the console's Blu-ray capabilities, the PS3 is currently delayed until a worldwide launch in November.

Any idea if this'll be Sata or IDE? And if any HDD will work in it?
