Boot up your PS3 today and you'll be prompted to download firmware version 3.30 which adds a number of improvements to Sony's service.

In addition to adding 3D capability that will allow owners of the new Bravia 3D TVs, the HX903 and LX 903, to play 3D titles this year, including Wipeout HD, Motorstorm Pacific Rift, Flash users should also enjoy a more stable service when viewing videos online. Other enhancements includethe ability to sort trophies by date and time and compare with other users.

The first 3D games will arrive in June, but the firmware update is totally mandatory.

Hmm would be very interested to see 3D Wipeout HD!
In its 720p/30 glory :/

What is wrong with 720p? Unless you have a huuuuge TV then it makes no difference. Also your eyes are the limiting factor. Most people sit so far away that you can't tell the difference.

Edit: Just reading about the HDMI on the PS3 and it is 1.3, that means 1080i will be the best you can get out of anything if you use 3D. 1.4 is the standard that will support 1080p.
