One of the biggest releases in the PS3 calendar this year, Resistance 2, has kicked off its beta phase in the US today, with the European side of things all set for Monday, 20 October.

US gamers have today been signing up on the official site to the limited number of slot available. The beta phase will boast two of the big new features of Resistance this year, eight-player co-op mode and 60-person, squad-based competitive mode.

The UK beta phase will run for approximately 3 weeks, from October 20th to November 13, and reports claim that only 7,000 keys will be available.

We presume, like the US beta,that Sony will launch a specifc sign-up page so that we can grab our codes. We'll let you know as soon as possible.
