Press release
Systemax, the great American PC maker, has announced the availability of the new Wildcat desktop gaming system featuring breakthrough advancements in graphics and processor technology. The Wildcat is the first Systemax system to feature the new AEGIA PhysX 128MB GDDR3 Accelerator, released last week at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles. The Wildcat also features AMD FX-60 dual-core processing, SLI graphics, and the latest Asus A8N32-SLI Gaming Edition Motherboard.
The AGEIA PhysX Accelerator dramatically improves game play dynamics, powering a level of pervasive motion and interaction never before experienced, while maintaining blazing-fast frame rates. With hardware-accelerated physics, games can now feature cause-and-effect motion and interaction on a massive scale so that fluids ooze and flow and explosions scatter debris of tens of thousands of pieces, each of which can cause collateral damage.
“Opening up a totally new category in gaming innovation, the new PhysX Accelerator is the critical hardware element required for the next great leap in video gaming,” explains Richard Wallet, Executive Vice President for Systemax.“Systemax systems loaded with PhysX processors, powerful CPUs, and graphics processors have the three required hardware elements to take the gaming experience to the next level for the consumer.”
The Wildcat also features the latest in SLI graphics technology from NVIDIA with two GeForce 7900GTX 512MB video cards, giving users increased performance in the highest resolutions for graphics-rich games and applications. In addition, the AMD Athlon 64 FX-60 dual-core processor allows the system to deliver ultimate performance, while adding multitasking benefits. The FX-60 fulfills the requirements of intense 3D games and applications with leading-edge performance, an integrated memory controller, and fast HyperTransport technology.
