BT250v - In use
The BT250v is by no means a bad headset and in fact performed amicably during the testing. It is a solid and well built device that is comfortable to wear, but it has its downsides.
If anything shows the age of the BT250v's technology, it's that the Bluetooth 1.1 specification is slowly disappearing from other new products on the market. After all, it’s not much more than a re-dress of the, albeit highly successful, BT250.
The call quality on the BT250v is adequate; the clarity was good but the volume range was a bit restrictive. The obvious downside to the BT250v design is that is suffers from being caught if you tend to move your head around a lot as the boom of the microphone runs alongside your jaw line; you find yourself constantly reseating it behind your ear.
Another item that is lacking from the BT250v is a connection indicator, whilst your handset will happily tell you BlueTooth is active, there is nothing to tell you that the BT250v is actually connected to it, it’s not major, but it’s annoying enough to mention.
Whilst the BT250v is capable, it just suffers from little annoyances that really shouldn’t be around in this price bracket.
