Panasonic’s 2006 multi-format DVD camcorders are sure to be compatible with you!

Redefining the standards of home DVD video cameras with uncompromising high quality images combined with simplicity of use

Panasonic’s new multi-format DVD camcorders, the 30x optical zoom VDR-D100 and VDR-D150 and 3CCD models VDR-D250 and VDR-D300, all have features which are perfect for beginners right though to enthusiasts!

Multi-format DVD compatibility
All Panasonic DVD camcorders in 2006 offer compatibility with a variety of formats - DVD-RAM/-RW/-R. DVD-RAM is an easy recording media for everyone to use as it has the greatest flexibility in re-recording. Capable of being rewritten 100,000 times without losing any quality, it has an unsurpassed durability! Also it is highly convenient as there is no need to spend time and effort finalising the disks. Using these camcorders, you can also record onto DVD-R and DVD-RW discs, which will play back in most standard DVD players, existing AV equipment and your PC. The VDR-D150 also includes an SD card slot allowing for further networking capabilities.

VDR-D300 and VDR-D250 extensive features allow you to take filming so much further!

High Quality pictures with 3CCD technology...Both the VDR-D300 and the VDR-D250 incorporate award-winning 3CCD technology. The camera’s CCD (Charge-Coupled Device) plays a critical role in this picture quality. Also used in professional video cameras, Panasonic’s 3CCD system reduces noise by 30%, gains horizontal resolution in colours by 50% and dynamic range to express luminous gradation by 30%. The result is exquisite life-like colour, detail, and gradation.

Crystal Engine for crystal clear shots!
At the brain of the VDR-D300 and VDR-D250 is Panasonic’s original Crystal Engine. This advanced system processes the R, G and B signals from the three CCDs individually to remove noise and improve colour processing accuracy. The Crystal Engine enables both still and moving pictures to be recorded with outstanding quality and is the best image processing LSI for the 3CCD recording!

Optical Image Stabiliser (O.I.S) ensures clear images at all times…
The VDR-D300 includes O.I.S. which helps to assure clear, beautiful pictures by compensating for hand-shake that occurs as you shoot. The benefit of mega O.I.S is especially noticeable when you’re shooting pictures with the zoom or macro function or when shooting in dim lighting. This enables the VDR-300 to produce crisp, clear beautiful moving and still images in any situation.

VDR-D100 and VDR-D150 incorporate Pure colour and Powerful zoom for majestic pictures!

Powerful zoom for powerful pictures!
All Panasonic camcorders offer an optical zoom which allows you to capture both moving and still pictures with exquisite beauty. The spectacular 30x zoom magnification in the VDR-D100 and VDR-D150 is not only the most powerful zoom available in a home-use digital video camera; it also features an extremely low distortion. Now your holiday videos can capture details on statues and places of interest like never before!

Pure colour engine…
The VDR-D150 and VDR-D100’s pure colour engine is designed to compliment the powerful zoom. It converts the CCD output signal from a complementary colour signal into an RGB signal at an early stage and extracts the low-frequency luminance component from the RGB signal. This innovative engine also achieves truly superb colour reproduction for high-zoomed pictures.

Additional features:

MPEG2 encoding engine
Panasonic’s 2006 DVD camcorders incorporate a new MPEG2 encoding engine which can deliver high-precision image rendering even if your subject is moving fast, while suppressing noise. This is because moving images are recorded in VBR (Variable Bit Rate) method so that the horizontal resolution is not deteriorated but maintained even in the LP mode recording. This is then able to achieve an image quality that is just as high as those recorded in SP mode whilst allowing all the space saving benefits of recording in LP.

It just keeps getting easier!
In addition, these camcorders have USB 2.0 compatibility to give high-speed uploading of DVD video data to a PC over a single USB cable. The included software application makes it easy to amend DVD video footage, enabling you to edit and polish your footage to create professional looking DVD videos. They can then be saved for keepsakes or easily re-saved onto DVDs of multi formats.

Supreme ease of use…
DVD camcorders record directly onto disk. Panasonic’s disk navigator then allows you to quickly search and access any part of the recorded footage. The video camera’s LCD screen displays a list of the recorded scenes which you can easily jump to. The disk navigator also allows you to edit directly onto the camcorder, for example you can delete or move scenes to create your own playlists.

The joystick control adds to the ease of use when using these stunning camcorders. This enables you to easily access functions with only one hand. Additionally, icons representing the functions that are used most during playback or shooting are displayed as icons on the LCD monitor. Therefore a number of operations can be accessed quickly and easily, without taking your focus off the subject. For an added benefit, this range has also been equipped with the “Help mode”. This help mode further improves the ease of camera use by providing explanations of display icons and operating procedures.

These brilliant new multi format DVD camcorders are available now (VDR-100 and VDR-150) and in April (VDR-250 and VDR300), all with supreme ease of use combined with stunning quality; Panasonic’s DVD camcorders are suitable for beginners right through to video enthusiasts, the choice is yours!
